Disowned 1801. She married but left her husband and went to Australia - nothing further is known about her. LBS notes. Death date from Logan, which shows no marriage. [JHJ] The following information supplied by Dr. David G. Hewitt, Australia: www.familysearch.com Batch no. 1383104 Sheet 23 Notes: Death Records: Ann Jane Hewitt (Mother's maiden name given as Spence), died South Yarra, 1906, aged 85. Cert. No. 7106 She was born in 1821 so could not have been disowned in 1801. She did go to Australia in about 1850, but as far as we are aware she did not leave her husband, but left with him. They subsequently had three children, born in Australia, who are not included in your list: John Thomas Sinton Hewitt, born 1862, Brighton, Victoria Margaretta Hewitt, born 1860, Brighton, Victoria Eveline Hewitt, born 1858, Ballarat, Victoria. William's age is given as 'Under Age', which means he was under 21. Assuming his 20th birthday was 1845 this would mean a birth year of 1825, which is at variance with other information. Ann living in Richhill, Co. Armagh. Witnesses - John Gilbert and William Riddel.
