Mary's brother Fred is in one of the Dairy pictures. Her mother was of the same line as William Howard Taft. (LBS) Transcripts of the Mary Snow Sinton letters can be found on the following link Letters [RFSS Mar 2003] In a letter dated 5th April 1885, Mary refers to her first two children as 'The Sisters'. [RFSS Mar 2003] Obituary published in the Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph on Sunday 22 August 1943 reads PRIVATE RITES MONDAY FOR MARY A. SINTON Mrs. Mary A. Sinton, widow of George H. Sinton and a pioneer resident of Colorado Springs, died Saturday at her home, 714 E. Cimarron St. She and Mr. Sinton came to the city in 1881 when he and M. M. Sinton of this city established the Sinton Dairy. In 1918 Mr. and Mrs. George H. Sinton moved to California and he died in 1930. Five years ago Mrs. Sinton returned to Colorado Springs because of poor health. She was a member of All Souls Unitarian church. Mrs. Sinton, whose maiden name was Mary A. Snow, was born in Caroline Center N. Y. She and Mr. Sinton were married there December 30, 1880. She leaves two sons, Herbert G. Sinton and Ernest A. Sinton; three grandchildren, Mrs. John Gray, James Sinton and David Sinton, and four great-grandchildren, all of Colorado Springs. Private funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Law drawing room, Rev. Hurley Begun officiating. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
