Mrs. Skeels, 85, of Littleton died December 22, 2001 at home. She was born in Colorado Springs April 1916 and moved to the Denver area in 1946, at the time of her marriage.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 4, 2002 at 1:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Engiewood, 3500 South Logan, with a private inurnment in Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Skeels retired from Engiewood Public Schools after 30 years. She was a member of Engiewood Business Women's Association, Beta Sigma Phi, and Eastern Star. Mrs. Skeels was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh V. Skeels. Survivors include a sister, Margo Pomaroy, three daughters, Nancy Boyd, Judith Skeels and Carol Haines, five grandchildren, Julie Loomis, Nadia Boyd, Jessica Boyd, Angela Haines and Micah Haines, two great-granddaughters, Tabatha Boyd and Orion Cochran.
