Robert N. Ruleman officiating. Burial under the direction of the Leyson Funeral Home was in Milford Cemetery. Mrs, Frank Fellows was organist and accompanied Mrs. Dwight Hemphill and Mrs. Clarke Shelton. Serving as pallbearers were Roy Thursh of Spirit Lake, Nathan Gould Sr., Howard Boers, Frank Hemphill, Floyd Woodley and Mike Maranell. Mrs. Sternberg died June 21 in Dickinson County Memorial Hospital of cancer following a short illness. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Ellison she was born July 3, 1897, at Woodbine and attended Woodbine schools. She and the late Ira Sternberg, who died May 29, 1965, resided at Woodbine until coming to Milford in 1933. She was a member of Union Memorial Church. Surviving are four children, Jack W. Sternberg of Hot Springs Arkansas, Hubert H. Sternberg of Torrance, California, Mrs. Ralph (Marilyn) Whipkey of Long Beach, California, and Edward B Sternberg of Patterson, California. There are also two brothers and three sisters, Russell Ellison of Spokane, Wash., Dick Ellison of Milford, Mrs. Essie Rees, Woodbine, Mrs. Roy Tripp of Logan and Mrs. Ward Kiger of Phoenix, Arizona. |
