Obituary in the Colorado Springs Free Press published on Monday 11 December 1967 reads HANDKE Mrs. Margaret Sinton Handke, 2719 N. Union, passed away Sunday morning. Arrangements later. (Swan) Obituary in the Colorado Springs Free Press, Tuesday 12 December 1967 reads Margaret S. Handke Services will be Tuesday, 3 p.m., in the Swan Drawing Room for Mrs. Margaret Sinton Handke, 85, of 2719 N. Union, who died Sunday at a local hospital. The Rev. Arthur W. Pierpoint officiating. Cremation will follow. Born Jan. 16, 1882. in Council Bluffs. Iowa. Mrs. Handke was a Colorado resident for 84 years. She attended Cutler Academy and Colorado College and taught in city and Cheyenne schools from 1925 until her retirement. She was an Episcopalian. Mrs. Handke is survived by her sister Mrs. Bell Willet. and her brother J. J, Sinton, both of Colorado Springs, and by her son, Mr. A. F. Handke of Maryville, Mo. It is requested flowers be omitted.
