Tom leaves his loving wife, Gladys ("Jo") and his children who reside in Canada: son Derek (Zina) of Alberta; daughters Patricia (John) of Ontario, and Alison (Gary) of Alberta. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his grandsons Nick (Tina), William, Mike (Kerry) and Ken and great-granddaughter Lily Marie. Tom is survived by his sister, Queenie, of Western Australia. Born in Liverpool, England, Tom was a teacher for many years at Anfield Comprehensive. During WW II he served in the R.A.F. in Britain and India. He was a dedicated member of the St. John's Ambulance Brigade for more than 40 years and received the "Serving Brother of the Order of St. John" medal from her Majesty the Queen. A celebration of Tom's life will take place at a later date. [RFSS Dec 2003] |
